Before I designed systems, I installed them: my apprenticeship as a gas and water installer is where my career began — and it still shapes how I approach design today. Knowing how a riser is actually assembled changes how you plan it.
After completing my technical A-levels, I studied Building Services and Energy Engineering at TFH Berlin (today BHT), graduating in 2008. Years as a designer and project leader followed, most recently at a Berlin engineering firm leading my own planning teams, before I became fully self-employed in 2021 — under the name K5Ingenieure.
